Used as an accent/sweet boost in a pineapple cake recipe … Just the right
touch to accent bakeries. Rich sweetness but not too dark.. Use at 1/4 – 1/2% in a mix. Nice brown sugar note for cakes. More like light brown sugar as opposed to dark brown sugar. I like it alot . Will probably work well in a buttery brown sugar oatmeal (VSO) at a bit higher %, depending on how you like your oatmeal:)

I LOVE this stuff. It’s great in cookies and to a lesser extent other bakery recipes. But one day I went out on a limb and added it to a butterscotch recipe and haven’t looked back since. It adds that extra bit of depth to those dark sweet notes that you just wish were more present. Didn’t notice any off notes even at the usual 2% and I have yet to find anywhere I need to use it higher.
